The newly wrapped trailer, graphics were printed on Avery MPI 1005 Supercast Easy Apply RS with DOL 1360 gloss overlaminate, made its debut at the Bob Hope Classic, January 19-23 in La Quinta, California. Due to heavy rain in California, Image Options had one day to do the install so time was of the essence.
Acushnet, which owns the Titleist brand, brought the graphic design and its 32 ft long trailer to Image Options' Orange County location to be wrapped for the 2011 PGA Tour. The Bob Hope Classic was the first stop in the mainland U.S. for the tour – still early in a season that includes 40 tournaments around the country – and the third stop overall for the tour. The trailer, featuring Titleist’s new Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf balls and several of its clubs, is on hand for the team’s players throughout the Tour.
Image Options printed the graphics on 869 sq. ft. of Avery MPI 1005 Supercast Easy Apply RS and DOL 1360 gloss overlaminate. Due to heavy rains in California in January, five installers spent one day applying the wrap outside at the Image Options facility. The trailer was the largest Image Options has wrapped for Titleist and is intricate with many pop outs.
The Titleist Tour Trailer spends hundreds of days on the road and covers thousands of miles each year following the PGA Tour. The trailer provides equipment and onsite customer service for Titleist team players at each event on the tour. It's a place for the team players to come relax as well as tweak or build new clubs. This blog post on the Titleist website is a couple years old but it will give you an idea of what life is like on the road with the trailer!
